Mayfair is located just off of Caton Farm Rd. in Plainfield IL, between County Line and Drauden Rd. Development of this John Leach neighborhood began in the late 1990’s. I have a personal affinity to this community because it’s actually the first place my husband called home after we married in 1999. We built our first home at 6613 Peyla Ln. in Mayfair and had 3 children there before moving to neighboring Clearwater Springs 5 years later. (and adding another 3 kids!)

There is no homeowners association in this community, which consists of several hundred homes. The architecture of the neighborhood leans more toward traditional, including raised ranches, tri-level and quad-level, ranches, and colonial styles of homes. The homes sit on generously sized lots, so if you are looking for a home with a big back yard, this is a great place to start. This is a popular community for first time home buyers due to the affordability factor for owning a single family home.
Mayfair is a great location for anyone looking for easy access to shopping, dining, and highway access including both I-55 and I-80. The Louis Joliet mall is about a 15 minute drive from homes in the area.
Other great John Leach neighborhoods in the area include Longleat, Cumberland, and Cumberland South.
